I purchased the radio acoustic tube headsets for us when we go skiing. I’m using these on a Baofeng BF-888S radio. In the past, I’d have the clip the radio up near my chest and turn up the volume so I could hear anyone calling me. Transmitting was a challenge as well because I’d have to lean down to try to talk into the mic.
With these acoustic tube headsets, I don’t have to turn up the volume. The pro is that I can always hear if someone is calling me. The con is I can always hear if someone is calling me; including the interference with other people using the same channel.
Pro: Clear audio both via receiving the in-ear speaker and transmitting via the mic; the other person can hear me clearly. The mic did pick up some wind noise but that’s expected when you’re skiing. The ear piece fits comfortably. I’m able to wear the ear piece most of the day. I had it in my ear from 9am – 3pm and was just fine with it
Con: I felt the line was shorter than I would have liked. I put the radio in a backpack and ran the mic line up to my chin (clipped to the top of my jacket). I felt the line between the radio and mic needed another 3 to 4 inches to be comfortable. I’m sure if I put the radio by my waist, I suspect that would have solved it. It’s not a show stopper but more of a convenience. I purchased another brand of acoustic tube headsets and they were about the same length.
The transmit button on the mic was a bit hard to find when wearing ski gloves. Again, not a show stopper. It would have been more convenient if the button was a bit more pronounced. Without the gloves, the button is easy enough to find and press. There’s a slight click so you know you’ve got it.
Conclusion: For the price, I’d purchase the headset again. It did the job. I was say the headset was better than having just the radio clipped to my chest.
Ugh i love it. it literally looks and feels like the ones you see secret agents wearing. The sound quality overall is pretty good but for the price is amazing. It has 2 clips which i dont understand and the mic button is pretty easy to use and feels well made. It really sits comfortably in my ear and does not fall out as oppose to the standard earpieces that come with most walkie talkies/ 2 way radios. The one that came with my radio was very uncomfortable and cheap. It has a standard connection that fits with most walkie talkies. But overall if youre looking for new earpieces for any type of event or even for fun buy this. I literally spent hours searching and i found this and havent regretted it. Hope this helps
This device does connect but it's not a professional ear piece. Volume is very low and not clear at all. I do not recommend this if your looking for a reliable ear piece. You get what you paid for, meaning go for the higher up prices and go professional.
These came in a very timely fashion. It's super comfortable. I work in healthcare, and it stays in place when I put my mask on.
I purchased this earpiece to go with my radio I use to communicate with my partner while filming wedding . It doesn’t do well with background noise cancellation so everything becaome jumbled . If you’re using this for a any other situation, should be fine

I got these to upgrade the ones that came with my walkies, I like these much better, the sound quality is great! I will purchase these again! Great product.
Used on BAOFENG UV5R. After plugging into radios, the radios stopped transmitting and receiving voice transmissions. Unplugged the headset and the radios had the same problem. Happened to two radios. Comfortable ear piece worked for a few minutes
Sound quality is fair. Just a tad bit echo-y. But works exactly like how you would think. Sound quality is very acceptable though. Pretty comfy for wearing for several hours.
