I work for a construction company that does concrete demolition with water. The team I am part of used cell phones to communicate when the pumps needed to be turned on or shut down, which was a huge hassle, and could take too long (in case of an emergency).
I had a set of these radios that I took on a camping trip a while back, and I loved how easy they were to use, and the fact that they could take a beating.
Sound quality is good, our work environment is very loud and you can hear them, and those who couldn’t could use the included earpiece.
Battery life is awesome, we have some guys who would forget to charge them for days, yet it was never a problem.
As for water resistance, they are indeed water RESISTANT. You cannot submerge these or hit them with high pressure water jets, but I dropped mine in a puddle and simply dried it off (remove the battery and make sure the battery / contacts are dry), and didn’t have any issues.
I only wish you could purchase single radios, being as we occasionally have new team members who need one.
A great quality product, I can honestly say I’ll continue to use Samcom products so long as the quality stays the same.
Easy to use radios for events. In a city I have gotten up to 35 blocks away and could still hear the other person. Have already brought more.
We've only been using these for about a month, but so far I like them better than 2 motorola models I've bought in the past. We don't need anything fancy here, so these were my choice. The clarity and volume is nice and the battery has lasted over 100 hours since the first charge and we still have 2 bars left. We haven't tried the headphones but they look and feel like they would hold up some rough handling. Thanks for the quality product.

These are AWESOME! We also purchased the 3 set of wireless monitors as they all work together. Being able to call seperate rooms via their own channel or using the group call to talk to all devices connected is great! Works very well. No issues so far. Great way to yell at the kids with out leaving the basement! Lol The walkies work about a mile or so away!! Highly recommend!

Description
Battery life is amazing! The look and feel of these radios is perfect. The pre programmed channels are good but they work a lot better if you take the time and program them to your needs. Off pre programmed channel one walki on higher elevation i got 4 miles out of them in town. Testing unpgraded programming today but better than pre programmed. Great starter radios and great for jobsites. Not a bad purchaes if you dont mind putting in some work
Does not work with other “samcom” older radios why is the question?
I have FRS & GMRS radios. I bought these to use with my other Samcon intercom devices- it's so much fun.
