Bought these to communicate on a Cruise ship Allure of the seas. The ship was massive (17 floors) and worked well almost throughout the entire ship. Biggest issue we had was accidentally changing the channel/frequency modes without realizing that we were all no longer connected. Family purchased a pair also and we all were able to communicate wonderfully. By day 6 of the cruise we figured out the lock button so we always remained on the same channel together. HIGHLY recommend. If it wasn’t for these Talkies we would have never been able to communicate so effectively on such a gigantic ship! While in stateroom and person out in the main portion of ship we could not communicate until we got to elevator, however if we both were in stateroom we could communicate. I wouldn’t go on a cruise without it.
They worked as promised. Great range. Toughest part was programming the frequency for the channels. At one point, we were stuck with only the Chinese language. Not intuitive when it came to programming...no clear instructions. After sometime, we figured them out.
These are nice radios and they work very well. I've had these radios on stand-by for at least 4 days and are still going strong. Amazing endurance. We use these on a daily basis and I am a klutz and drop things all the time and they still work. Out of the probably 10 times I have ordered these only 1 came in broke and they sent me a replacement radio right away.

Radios work good and are just as advertised. The battery seems to last only about 15 hours on stand by, not the best but I can live with it. I have an extra battery and keep it charged and just swap it out everyday. I use this for work to communicate with my employees and it works very well. I bought a 2 pack and am thinking about a few more.
Neither mic works. It sounds and looks like the connection isnt really being made. I bet none of their mics work.

I got these for a road trip with two vehicles so we could communicate between them. These worked perfectly. We used the FRS radio frequencies to make sure we wouldn't be communicating on any important local frequencies. We were in the mountains, and still had great signal. We always had clear communication, although we were never more than a mile apart.
I was looking for a way to communicate with my off site plant about 1.9 miles (less than 2) away from our office. The ad seems to make me feel that with 8 watts this would be an idea solution. Several issues - 1) we did not receive a programming disk with the radios 2) Not mentioned in the add that we would likely need an FCC license to use them as needed 3) The radios, though it seems they are highly capable require a lot of programming and the menu / programming is nearly impossible without the disk that was not supplied. 4) The documentation is so tiny it is impossible to read without a magnifying glass as well s poorly presented. 5) You have to be or become a "HAM RADIO" operator to use this system. I would not recommend thes unless you have a radio and computer degree
We tested them by driving around the block and seeing how far we can get. We were able to drive almost 10 blocks in Miami traffic and still hear each other perfect from inside the house and windows in the car closed.
