Okay, I have used ear pices much like these for several years now as a police officer. I ordered these because my supplier was out temporarily and I needed one quickly. The shipped fast, and upon inspection they seem to be okay. The ear adapter is molded a bit differently then what I used before but they both appear to be okay quality. I will update my review after I use them for a while and comment on the durability and sound quality.
Have had this item for almost a month now and still works fine. I believe the reason some have issues with this after a few days or so is how much strain you have on the cord and how well you have it secured so the likely good of the cord getting wrapped up and or pulled on.
Not bad. For the price, you get a decent lil piece of equipment.
Work like a charm, glad I selected this product.

This model of the HYS TC-617-1N listen only earphone is designed for law enforcement officers, firemen, EMTs ,Sports, Fairground and other professionals who wear their radio with a microphone on their shoulder or clipped to their shirt. If your mic has a 2.5mm jack, this earphone will click into it, providing you with the ability to securely hear broadcasts without everyone else in the area over hearing. How to confirm if the product has been stop working?
2.5mm earpice plug into the smartphone 's 2.5mm port, if you can listen sound, the earpiece is working fine, you need confirm your 2.5mm device whether usable. If you can not listen, then this listen only earpiece out of work.

- You can use this earpiece for 2.5mm jack of phone to test, if you can listen, then radio jack internal wiring different standard 2.5mm. Or microphone jack has been bad.

I think the product itself is very convenient. The sound quality is good for the price you pay for a twin pack. It's hard to beat the price. However, I purchased these mid October of 2018. One of the earpieces only held up for two and a half months. I thought, oh well, that's why they provide a twin pack. I'll just use the other earpiece, but no. The other earpiece was busted right out of the sealed bag. I believe it is a problem with the speaker. As previously mentioned by another verified purchaser, the earpiece sounds as if it is super low volume or distorted. I cleaned all the connections and checked for blockages. This product either doesn't last, or I just got a bad batch. I'll wait to see if the seller has faith in his product by whether he sends me a new pair. I can't continue to purchase these on a monthly basis. That would not make sense.
Product appears to be in good shape. I ordered the wrong ones though. Need the 3.5 mm and ordered the 2.5 mm. For the price, you can’t beat the deal. Just make sure you order the right size jack.
Works great as a police officer I have no complaints thus far. Works every time never misses a transmission
