Ok,the PTT works BUT......only if you have a rubber band,ziptie or something else to put a good amount of tension on the plug.If you look at another kenwood ptt you notice that the base of the pins are raised slightly where this is completely flat so it doesn't reach far enough to connect (in a baofeng f8hp at least).Some people say they file away the material to make it work ,once i find a way to do it I might try it.
I have a set of real Peltor Comtac IIs to get this ptt to work I had to connect SP+ and MIC+ inside the ptt to do this I took off the back cover and used a soldering iron to add some solder to connect the two solder pads where the wires connected to the board after this the ptt works perfectly with my headset and Baofeng BF-F9 V2+
Doesn’t work. Both the audio in and the mic out don’t work.
Not working
If using with a Baofeng, you will ha e to trim some plastic off the plug end for the plug to radio to seat straight instead of at an angle.
Once trimmed, no issues, works and sounds really good.
I'm using this with Bowman II headset and baofeng gt3 mk II's

Trimming back the plug if you are careful, will not compromise any wires or expose them. Pretty simple. Agreed shouldn't have to trim, but, is what it is to fit in the baofeng port
Will buy again/more!
Update, bought two more, same thing - using with Baofeng GT 3's, you'll need to trim plastic off plug to radio connection - then, good to go!

For the price this is kinda to be expected. Luckily the one I had given as a gift was the one that worked correctly.
Call/communication quality is poor I used it a hand full of times and gave up. The recipient of the call cannot clearly make out what your saying and I've used several higher quality products in my military service so it's not a user error.
I bought this item thinking it would work well for the price but it turns out that it does not. When I used it my voice was muffled and the other person across the line could not hear my voice clearly. Overall this was just a big let down and honestly a waste of money.
