I used these with real firearms and they performed great. I would guess it lowered the volume more than 25 decibels because the other hearing protection I used the same day were rated at 25 and these were better.
This thing is a flaming cluster of a product. I use this in a professional setting, working ski patrol on a mountain. Every single shift I have used this headset, something has broken. And now, just after 2 full days of work, the plug from the headset won’t stay retained in the ptt. I even rigged it with a rubber band so I could finish my shift, but the radio comms were intermittent, even with the plug forced fully into the ptt. I would not recommend this product for anybody that will rely on its functionality for any real purpose. If you’re an air softer, maybe it’ll work well enough at looking cool.
This is my first pair of tactical headphones. With that being said I was told to buy the name brand but I’m just getting into air soft and didn’t want to spend that kind of money but now I kind of wish I had.
The bad, noise canceling almost is always going off when talking and seemed to get stuck off so I was constantly trying to make sure it was turned all the way up and it has a good buzz to it ... not the most clear but it definitely could be way worse ... had an issue at the end of the day with every time I used my push to talk I would get feed back in the right head set, still don’t know what this was it why ... batteries I am using in the head set are energizer recharging AA so I don’t know if there is a better option.
Now with that being said it still a good purchase for the price I am using this mounted on my helmet rails and plan to give them to my wife when I up grade but for coms they worked well but wished the audio pick up from the surroundings was better quality. It was raining lightly off and on but didn’t seam to have an issue there
I was not sure if these would do what I needed. I wanted to be able to communicate AND be able to protect my hearing. But having taken these to the range a couple times I can say they work great for hearing protection. I was going to coat the interior with silicon for air sealing if they didn't work, but I don't feel any need to do that.
These plugged right into my radio with Kenwood connection. The PTT works well. I've now used these for over 12 hours and the batteries are still good. I don't know how long they'll work for.
The audio sounds natural. I've tried walkers and the noise sounded artificial. These sound like natural talking.
So, these arent peltors but theyre pretty dang awesome. Finally got some indoor range time in after the covid pandemic, and i couldnt be happier with these. The gel ear pads are amazingly comfortable and makes wearing these for hours with eyepro bearable. Sound quality is great, and the decible cutoff is spot on. Ran bounding drills next to a guy shooting 6.8SPC and had no issues. Battery life is great too. Ice had these on for hours without killing the batteries. I use rechargable Duracell batteries in these. The best part is, they do fit under a FAST helmet comfortably!

It was great and i played about 3 airsoft games good audio good mic quality but then when i put it away for about 2 weeks in it's case I put it on again and the right ear went out tried replacing the battery and still doesn't work just up and died but at that point i could no longer return it so sad day personally if i maybe if mine was just a dud and got a new one and didn't crap out on me like that i would def give this thing a 5 star!
The mic doesn't work. The noise canceling doesn't work. I missed the return window. Don't make the same mistake as me. As soon as you get it. See if works and return it if it doesn't
Headset works great for the price. Communication between radios is crisp and clear. Will be buying a couple more sets as soon as I can find more radios. They aren’t as good as actual Peltors but for the price I will not be complaining. The gel cups feel great on the ears during long periods of shooting. Volume controls for outside sounds are not as customizable (always seems too loud or too quiet) as I wish they could be but again, 1/4 the price of Peltors and the radio traffic is a clear as I could need.
