The plug didn't seat well in the Yaesu FTA750L. But when it did, the radio would instantly key into transmit with my headset connected. This means it is wired for a commercial helicopter headset and not a military aircraft headset. I verified this by opening the PTT/connector box and checking the wiring. Also, this has no impedance matching what so ever. Military aircraft headsets are low impedance while commercial aircraft headsets are high impedance. I ended up going to Aircraft Spruce and buying a impedance matching headset adapter that I can use with the PJ055/PJ068 adapter that comes with the Yaesu FTA750L. I'll keep this adapter in case I ever acquire a commercial helicopter headset.
