So i work with aircraft who use higher grade u-94's and the one this product came with really sucks. Don't get me wrong, it will work but it feels like it can break at any moment. The ptt button actually has two pieces to it instead of one total piece. The wires were poorly soldered on. But what do you expect for the price and where it's coming from. If you happen to get your own wire, you can just order yourself a better u- 94 and make it yourself. Make sure the black wire is connected to the ptt and terminal 4. Terminal 1 being the long post in the middle and goes clockwise for the positions.
This PTT does everything you need it to. You do have to make sure that both the connection to your radio and headset are solid because they are both very snug fits. If all your connections are solid this will work great. It is a replica PTT meant for replica headsets so for real steel headsets it will not work. That being said if you run a replica it works great. I saw some reviews stating it had a mushy button, at least on mine I found that not to be true. There was a little bit of take up and then a solid wall and button push. Here’s the big pros and cons.

Pros
-Strong clip
-thick cord
-solid button

Cons
-long cord
-very tight connections

I was pleasantly surprised with the overall quality of this product. If you’re on the fence on this I would say buy it.
You MUST sand off a little of the plastic near the metal prongs in order for this to work with a Baofeng radio. If the sound is not loud enough and the PTT function does not work then the prongs are NOT far enough into the radio and the plastic must be sanded down further. Once the prongs are far enough in, the PTT and sound levels work perfectly. Awesome product for cheap works good with IRON JIA;s headphones https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072ZXH1KT/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_0
There have been at least two reviewers who have already said to make sure the plug is seated ALL THE WAY. This is very true. I had to shave a bit off of one side of the plug in order to make it fit all the way into the socket on my Baofeng UV-5R Camo. The connection isn't always the best on the first go, though. I have to wiggle it, sometimes. But, once it's seated fully and connects, no problems. Not a perfect solution, but every clone like this I've found at this price point are the same. Might as well just go with it.
I ordered two of these, one for my rig and one to keep in the truck for backup, and I opted to open both up and take at least an inch off of every wire inside, replace the main power and ground wires with thicker gauge wire, replace their solder with acid free solder, and used a little heat shrink. The signal was INSTANTLY clearer and they have survived numerous trips to the range on my pc while I larp as SF. It became 4/5 stars after that. Only thing it needs is a gasket to seal the whole thing and an o-ring around the ptt button and you've got 5/5 stars. Get creative, people. They're cheap enough to replace if you mess one up.

A poor imitaciĆ³n of a bad PTT. It looks fine outside, but the micro ptt inside doesn't work at all. I'm surprised how Amazon allows them to sell this. Honesty, do not buy this garbage.
Received this product today, would not recommend it. The PTT (push-to-talk) function is non-functional. It doesn't work.

Otherwise, it fits my Baofeng UV-5R as described, and it seems durable enough, so it's a shame it doesn't function. For clarification's sake, it'll work fine if you press the PTT on the radio, but I bought this so that I could have my PTT in a more accessible place, and wouldn't have to reach around for the radio.
I used this with a WISHRING Z Tactical Miltary Heavy Duty Bowman Elite II Hd03 Headset on a baofeng uv-5r. Like others have said you do have to trim the plastic a little around the pins for the plug end in order for it to completely plug all the way into the radio. This modification took less than a minute so it wasn't really a big deal although it'd be nice if it did fit correctly to begin with.

Other than that, this adaptor has a good solid trigger, a strong and solid clip and what seems to be good heavy duty wire. So far I'd say its well worth the money.
