Early impressions before using this as a flagger this weekend:
Sound isolation seems good, headphones are tight to the head (almost too tight). Components seem to be of good quality. Sound of my TYT MD-380 radio power tones seem strong. One downside is that the headband is not adjustable w/o tools (gotten used to Velcro adjustable strap on 'behind head's models). Also, headset's volume knob gets hidden by mic boom when you move the boom up when not speaking - minor distraction. Waiting to see if padding on head band is adequate or not - pressing on it sounds like all the air comes out of the cushions. Rugged Radio cable I purchased with this headset seems great as well.
Usage update: headset worked fine over two day race weekend. Did a good job of blocking out engine noise, and volume was sufficient to hear radio traffic over the din of the racing. Headset never was uncomfortable beyond normal usage when in hot conditions. Headband cushion was fine and caused no discomfort while wearing it. I'm happy with my purchase. Will update when I get to test the mic in a transmission situation.
Decent product. Could have better adjustment for larger head. However the sound was great and clear. Definitely cut out quite a bit of ambient noise. I thought the adapter cables were a bit overpriced.
Bought for the race track. Plenty of outside sound deadening. And plenty of radio volume actually have to turn it down
Great product volume control is not the greatest but headset is excellent buy for our utv. We love them an they are well built nice quality.
I bought this radio and headset combo to use in my Polaris rzr out in the desert. They can be quite loud so I was impressed with the clarity of sound and voice distinctions. A good product and easy to use.
