Decent needed something to stay on my head while open ocean outrigger canoe racing. Got my olde ipod from back in in Iraq 2005 and an auxiliary battery. Now she pumps enough juice to hear from the front to the back of a 6 man outrigger. Already had the helmet to ipod .35 mm piggy back jack for helicopter helmets. As long as you get a mil to .35mm plug adapter it pumps decent sound while still letting me listen to the steersmen calls. Also the removable mic makes it easy to simply put on and paddle.
Purchased this headset for Florida State Militia use. Wore for the first time during field exercises at training weekend couple weeks ago. Worked perfectly... could be heard clearly through the microphone, and I could hear all transmissions. Fit great on head and with helmet and cap and is comfortable.
Here's the deal, this thing is less than $25. Using the Z-Tactical PTT and a UV-82 radio, it works perfectly. The speaker clarity is solid and the transmit clarity is solid according to other users on my channel. It's very light weight, comfortable, and ergonomic (can be used on left or right rear). The ONLY drawback is the volume, with my radio volume maxed out it's probably not loud enough to hear reliably in a fairly loud environment, but it will do for my purposes.
The experience i had with another seller left me bitter but this one restored my faith in sellers!

Disappointed. Ad is either misleading or seller just never shipped the PTT unit with the headset. Headset itself is nice.
You get what you pay, the kit is just fine, I use it for play Airsoft and gets the job done
