These radios work great for us! I have them for our theatre for communication between the sound/light booth, spotlight operators, backstage crew and me (diretor). My kids love the ear pieces/microphones because they look like/feel like secret service agents. These radios communicate over great distances and throughout the building, which is so great since the cinderblock walls (everywhere in the school, and the auditorium walls!) so our cell reception is very unreliable in the building, students can always get me (and each other) on this radio!
ALSO: this was my 2nd set to order more for my students to have use of. One of my batteries came in bad, wouldn't charge. I contacted the company and told them the problem, and they sent a new battery out right away! So great! They even contacted me to confirm delivery! No issues, great and quick service! (esp for during this COVID Quarantine time!) --p.s. I had ordered the radios before the shut-down but didn't get to the radios until 2+ months later due to the quarantine/shutdown, and they did give me nay problems for the amount of time that had passed!
UPDATED really like the price and there great quality. With the replacement plan i was offered you can not go wrong. UPDATE.. Since my first review I've had these radios for over a year now and all of the knobs have fallen off.. its not a bad thing tho because wearing it and moving around will cause them to change channels. The antennas broke off very quickly but they still work in a small building even between 1st and 2nd floor. The radios have stopped charging all but 1 so I use it to charge all the batteries. So I contacted the warranty plan I bought square trade by Alstate sent radios in to be fixed or replaced and was told the warranty does not cover abuse.. I use these radios on a job site building a School.. the seller says these radios are for construction site communications. So now i cant get them fixed or replaced with what I consider an electrical issue because with a charged battery most of them work fine. So for me im just gonna throw them away and bite the bullet and spend the money for motorola or Dewalt These are twice the money but itll do no good to buy cheap radios if i have to replace them every year or so.
First of all im a radio buff, i have a bunch of different kinds ranging from baofengs to motorolas. For 15$ a unit you get a programmable HT that goes from 400-480 MHZ. Out of the box my only complaint is that the 16 channels are not actually the FRS frequencies so you have to be careful about that and reprogram them. Other than that you also have every CTC and DCS code imaginable so you can make sure that the generic walmart walkies cant keep up and hear your conversation. and if thats not enough it has 9 different scramble modes on there so you can have extra privacy. They seem pretty solid and good quality for the money. If you have the programming know how and want something that will survive the kids and give some sort of privacy these are the way to go. Perfect for camping or vacations
This is the second time I've ordered these. I am a manager of a restaurant, and we use these to communicate between the front and back of house. On the first order I made(around 4 months ago), one of the radios didn't work. Someone did reach out to me to see how I liked the radios. I informed her of the issue and she sent another one to me. (Great customer service!) About a month ago, another stopped working. I thought maybe one of the servers/cooks broke it. But I just reordered another set, and two out of the five are messed up. That's a total of 4 out of the 10 that I have that don't work. However, the radios that do work, are great!
I bought this 5 pack less than 6 months ago for the office. Within 3 months, 2 of the earpieces stopped working. Not a big deal, I ordered new ones as I figured it would be just easier to replace them than dealing with the company for the replacement. One of the radios is now inoperable. I have an email into the company about it. Time to see what their customer service is all about.

Description
I bought these for my football officiating crew. Reception is very good even in somewhat noisy settings. The ear pieces lose some flexibility when the temperature gets around 40 degrees so they don't seem to stay in your ear as well as they should. Users manual states that using the external headset will affect the water-tightness performance of the radio, so we did not use them one game when it rained. Overall we were happy with the performance. They're a good value for the price.
I liked that they came with earpieces, however one of the headsets only worked for the first hour then croaked. Still worked well without them. Sound quality good and clear.
We use walkies for our business so valet, security and front desk can communicate with one another. The range on these is pretty good and we can use the walkies about a half block from eachother just fine. They are not compatible with other walkies so we have to choose between these and other styles of walkies we have. The volume on them is REALLY low, so they need to be turned up all the way at all times in order to hear the caller. One stopped working within the first two weeks of using it. Might consider ordering again since they do not crackle all the time like some of our other walkies do, but would hesitate out of fear they would stop working quickly.
