I have only tested these once but the quality was way better than I thought it would be. The construction is solid and the PTT button is very firm. the connections of the separate parts use a strong metal and plastic twist connection. I am using these with a Baofeng two pin. The audio is clear but a little low.
Like the purpose. However, when connected to my Kenwood TH-D74. poor Voice quality was reported constantly. Very disappointed!

During a recent radio conversation with another ham operator, I switched to this mic. The other operator noticed it and said it sounded like there was just a bit more Bass to my voice. The unit transmits and receives clear...this one seems to be a really good unit...I will likely by another.
It works great when you in a couple feet from the other person but when you get farther away for some odd reason it don't want to pick up as good but you can hit the key on the two-way radio and it picks up better.
Love it, I work around loud trucks with portable radios, translates my voice well with one earplug in I can hear responses clearly.

The mic is barely above standard mic and earpieces that I have had for lower prices. It is bulky and fragile. You have to fiddle with the connection s at times also
