This product was my third attempt at purchasing a headset for my radio I use at work. This headset and the two previous units do not work with the listed Kenwood radio. If all you want is to listen with no ptt capability this will work, however, the ptt function does not work. I have found with this set and some others one pin is missing on the attachment to the radio which keeps the ptt function from working. Ended up going to a regular two way radio distributor and for only a few bucks more than what I paid for this one much better quality. One advantage to seeing a regular radio establishment some offer component style head sets, much nicer if you only need one section and not the whole unit.
I work in corrections, I switched from a microphone to this. No more missed radio traffic. What I like best is that only I hear what's being said over the radio and the inmates don't hear it.
SO let's start by saying, it works. Now here's the catch, you here communication central clear, but on several radios, they hear nothing but static from you. Update from my recent post, fixed the ground problem it had, clear and no background noise now.
Works great had to trim the tube a little to fit in my ear better but is most definely worth the price and has held up nicely.
Daily use. Long enough cords. Good sound from earpiece and mic.

This has worked very well for me. I work as a detective for a police department and am constantly in large crowds. The sound quality on both ends was great!
Wouldn’t recommend this item. Hooked it up to the radio and before brefing was over, it sounded like I was underwater
