Alright here's the thing, the Amazon page lists this as a Military U94. While the outside may look Military on the inside its actually wired to the Civilian TP120 spec:

TP120 Pin 1: Mic- Kenwood
TP120 Pin 2: Mic+ Kenwood
TP120 Pin 3: SPK+ Kenwood
TP120 Pin 4: SPK- & PTT GND. Kenwood

The actual military spec has pin 2 & 3 swapped:
TP120 Pin 1: Mic- Kenwood
TP120 Pin 2: SPK+ Kenwood
TP120 Pin 3: Mic+ Kenwood
TP120 Pin 4: SPK- & PTT GND. Kenwood

I have non-comms ComTac 4s and I made my own cable/mic setup using a cheap Chinese microphone and was expecting the pins of the U94 to be the Mil spec but it was an easy enough swap with a soldiering iron. Something else that is a bit off is the TP120 female connector they use inside the U94 has each paddle labeled. However the lever that connects to the male Pin 1 is actually labeled "4" and the lever that connects to male Pin 4 is labeled "1". If you go modding this made sure you pay attention.

Oh and the Kenwood connector wasn't a 100% perfect fit but I got mine to work.. 4 star because I wanted cheap Chinese part & I got a cheap Chinese part.
I think there is a problem with the "Kenwood" connector. It works with my UV-82 and my Retevis RTS3 but it will not work with my UV5r. I don't think it inserts far enough.

Update......
I noticed the connector was hitting the radio body not allowing the connector to fully seat in the radio socket. Using a razor blade, I trimmed away some of the material from the "Kenwood" connector allowing it to fully seat in the radio. It now works perfectly.
It was easy enough to modify so I bought 2 more. The price is good and so is the construction.
If you're using the GT5, BF888, Retevis RT3, RT3S, Radioddity R2 or UV82, the modification is not needed. So far it was only necessary for the Baofeng UV5r.
The connections fit, however, the sound does not work and seems to be messed up somehow. I haven't tried the fix that some people have recommended by rewiring the internals.
The volume was too low to make any message clear even with radio and headset turned all the way up. Along with that i cannot transmit any messages through my radio with this unit. Over all i would avoid this product
Update.

I had 1 star but found it was a user error. Works great. I highly suggest. Will buy again.

Specification

Fit standard version plug.Clear sound, strong and durable.U94 type headset PTT, Rugged detachable 360 degree swivel clip can secure the mic at anywhere you need
The PTT is a perfect plug and play, just plug it in, clicked the button, and it worked. The plug fits nice and tight on both sides. Clip is solid and holds tight. Lead length is long enough and allows for placement where it needs to be.
This is a connector for headset and radio.need to connect headset and radio can talk. You can sand off a little of the plastic near the metal prongs in order for this to work with a Baofeng/Kenwood 2 pin radio.
Trim the plastic a little around the pins for the plug end in order for it to completely plug all the way into the radio. If the sound is not loud enough and the PTT function does not work then the prongs are NOT far enough into the radio and the plastic must be sanded down further. Once the prongs are far enough in, the PTT and sound levels work perfectly.
Made of premiun ABS,this PTT is a good walkie-talkie connecter and fits for Kenwood 2 pin radio. The headphone should have U94 type connector, then plug the connector into this Adapter. If the headset has the NATO standard 7MM plug, It should work just fine

If you own earmor don’t buy this just buy from earmor or someone that sells the official item not some off brand thing that sort of works but doesn’t do it’s only purpose.
I bought this adapter to coincide with a Baofeng BF-F8HP transceiver. Some units I reviewed one would have to change the internal wiring to get the adapter to operate properly, but not this one. This adapter worked as it should utilizing the "Kenwood" pin-out. The jacks that insert into the radio fit nicely but tight as they should be. I did trim the plastic at the base of the contacts to ensure full contact could be achieved for proper audio connection but I'm not certain that was needed (some other reviews of other adapters stated the plastic at the base of the jack prevented the full insertion of the jacks into the radio as I trimmed the collars before attempting to insert the jacks into the radio). After inserting the jacks into the radio and connecting the 7mm jack into my Comtac II headphones, it activated as it should have. I did not try to establish comms via my radio as I still have not tested for my ham radio license but I foresee no issues with this adapter.
