Ok review time, yes these look just like knock off comtacs. Im pretty sure that's exactly what they are. That said they're built plenty solid thus far and actually work quite well. I can't compare them to comtac iii's cause I don't have any. But I do have a few pairs of peltor tactical 6s's and thus far they work the same or better in regards to cutting (when shooting) sound and amplification. Definitely louder on the amplification side. Mic works great picks up just fine. Ptt that comes with it is meh... Good enough. I picked up a silynx unit that's a bit more solid. My only complaint is when I hit the ptt I get a slight click thru the ears. Not bad and doesn't bother me (what can you expect for $85 earpro). Just something I noticed. I've hit the range with these 6 different times with an assortment of firearms and they work as intended. I'm happy with the purchase thus far. If they crap out I'll update.
So...First off, they work as advertised. They fit well. They are comfortable. The cord is thick and seams fairly secure and durable. The outboard microphones are sensitive and amplification is significant. The audio cutout for loud noises is sensitive and fast The vox mic clear. The PTT is solid and tactile. Radio communication is loud and clear and works without the unit being turned on.
Critical obsevations:
The vox mic is a little "tinny" not bad, but it's noteworthy.
The sound cutoff might be a little oversensitive. closing the door on a microwave will cause a cutout
The higher amplification settings get fuzzy. The sounds are clear, but there is a constant hissing. Like listening to a sea shell. It doesn't really interfere with the sensitivity. It's just there.
DB reduction is probably a little overstated. I exposed them to some sustained loud noises on new years and my ears were not ringing afterwords, but it ain't like wearing maxx ear plugs. But it's good, maybe it actually has some 'active' noise cancelling? not sure?
Battery covers might not be as secure as I would like them to be. I could see them popping off in a sudden impact.
but they do stay put in normal use.
Overall, probably the best thing out there for the money. Time will tell how well they hold up to rain and abuse.
but so far I am not disappointed. They are pretty frickin good for the intended purpose.
Absolute crap!!! Battery doesn't fit tight so I tried to bend the prong just a little and it broke. Built cheap as crap. I'll figure out another way. You will be paying all of it back for building crap for us.
I was suprised, sound quality very good, comfort not bad. I wore them the first time for over 2 hours. I could hear everything clearly and the sound dampering for loud noises was very adequate. Thumbs up from me.
They are comfortable, light weight, and sound good. Only issue is the microphone picks up background noise easily. Completely usable as comms in a UTV though.

Excellent sound quality, comfort over the ears.
I use it to video camera operator, I am very impressed with the noise canceling and the sound quality in a loud environment.
Initially thought I had a bad set but found out several batteries I had were dead, happy with the purchase and would recommend.
I've been testing the cans out at my job and so far they work with outstanding sound quality and sound control and I do work around gunfire so highly recommend these
