I’m in the army as a mortar man, my unit used to get issued the real ones but not any more. I got these and they work pretty decent. I’ve used them for firing mortars and most small arms and they work just as well as a pair of similar priced ear pro. Also they fit under a ach pretty well if you take out a few pads. Over all I would say it’s worth the money
I received the “NEW” version of this headset. I bought these for airsoft. These are leaps and bounds ahead of any Z-Tac headset I’ve owned, and they’re 1/7th the cost of the actual headset. The Dual Comm set-up takes a bit to get use to, but if you’re not going to use both sides you can just zip tie up the one down cable. But just so you know the right down cable only receives transmissions through the right headphone and the left only through the left. You still have external sound amplification coming through the side not receiving an incoming transmission. I really like the fact that when then external sound amplifier cuts out at its decibel limit it doesn’t stop you from receiving incoming radio transmissions. All in all a great headset, and would highly recommend these!
These are great for the price. Of course they aren't peltors but I just couldn't drop $500 on a pair. They work great on the range. They work as they should.
Bought these for airsoft, used them this weekend. Overall I liked them.

Pros:
The Gel Cups are super comfortable, I used to use earmors, and I’ve tried Howard lights before and these are just so much better. They’re insanely soft and they don’t feel that hot or unbreatable.

My teamates said I sounded good through my mic, they also sounded pretty good on my end

The headband that it comes with is actually removable, so if you want to use the helmet mounts you don’t have to cut it and you can easily switch it back to the headband without having to buy a new one.

This is really just personal preference but I like with the dual comms that the audio only comes through in on one side instead of both.

It comes with two PTTs, that connect to a Baofeng, also a D-ring which I’m not entirely sure what it’s for but I’m not complaining.

They say Peltor on the side.

Cons:
The sound amplification isn’t as good as my earmors, but not bad either

The PTT has about a half second delay between the time you push the button, and the time you’ll actually be heard across the radio.

I haven’t tested the sound protection yet, and I haven’t used it with the headband yet. However, overall I would say these are definitely great for the price considering your also getting two PTTs.
Knock off of real peltors. Has little to no hearing protection when I tried them on, I could still hear almost everything. Probably better for airsoft or cosplay.

Great headset for the price. Its extremely comfortable and the noise amplifier if fantastic i can hear everything around me and it shuts off if it gets to loud. I would recommend you buy the good batteries for it if you plan on using it for more than a few hours at a time.
Look, they work as advertised; they just weren't for me. The dual audio was way too confusing for me to keep track off; but everything came in loud and clear.

Good buy, not for me.
Overall, these will do the job. I got a pair because I didn't want to trash my Comtac III's when not in the field, and they do most of what I need them for. However, the speakers in the headset are not as clear, and the PTT can be finicky.
