I bought 1 of these to try out and test as a cheaper option to add to my CBRN gear to allow for clear communications while using a 2 way radio and wearing a gas mask. These seem to work fine and have a clear signal both transmitting and receiving. These worked well on my Baofeng UV 5R. I like the way the throat mic wraps around my neck to give a tighter fit but yet not to tight as compared to some spring loaded throat mics I currently own. With the Velcro straps I'm able to adjust it to fit properly. My son is 8 years old and it is just slightly to big for him but he is able to use it properly to send and receive communication and he will grow into it as time goes by. I can't say these are durable enough to use on a daily basis as I didn't purchase these to be used full time for work, etc and haven't tested them in this manner.
I plan on buying 2 more to add to my gear. For the price it's a good buy. Shipping was fast as well.
I'M SURPRISED AND AMAZED of how good the microphone is on this thing, I spoke and my friend radio speaker almost explode!
I can only recommend to test where to place the microphone, if you place it in a wrong spot, it will not work properly.
Also I dont know if the earpiece I received was defective or if it is like that, when I got it the sound of it was very low, i change the earpiece and start sounding LOT better.
Having used some throat mics in the past, I was a little skeptical about this one. It was very inexpensive (in comparison to the good ones that cost hundreds of dollars). But the quality of the sound was very good and enabled me, while in high winds, to be heard very clearly in my transmissions. The comfort had a little to be desired. But that is merely adjusting the strap on each use until I find where it is the most comfortable while keeping contact with my throat. I will definitely be purchasing more of these for my other radios.
Update: for some reason the mic started working and has continued for over a week. This works fine. Not outstanding, but not terrible either. Speaking quietly isn't always clear on the receiving end, but it works well enough for my use case.
Works perfectly don't listen to the naysayers everyone can hear me strong and clear. You just have move it up and down on your neck to find your sweet spot. Mine is higher up on my neck above the Adam's apple.

Most aspects of the mic are great, just wish the material felt more sturdy and was quieter to use.
To its credit, it outlasted my boafeng radio which died in the cold at FT.Riley.
Awesome mic. Sound quality is amazing and it gives a real advantage in the field. Only complaint would be the mic is not made for us thick necked men. You’ll have to stretch it out to get a comfortable fit.
I would give this zero Stars if I could it literally fell apart as I took it out of the box when I first got it I never even got to plug it in or try it so I don't even know if it works.
