Picked these up to compare to other noise cancelling bluetooth units I've been using. I have trouble with ear muffs pushing my glasses into my skull (painful) after long use and was hoping these large gel pads would help prevent that. They do, but with a tradeoff.
The sound quality is great and music sounds fantastic when I working around the shop with the drill or impacts, but when I'm on the tractor mowing I cannot hear the music very good. Even cranked up it's still not great. The only volume control is from the bluetooth device so increasing the level in the 3M's doesn't seam to be an option. They have it maxed too low for the sound of a 25HP diesel at full rev with a finish mower going, but at least it doesn't feel like my glasses are trying to enter my skull behind my ears.
Oh man, I meant to make a review for these a while back...getting to it now. These things are incredible. Let me tell you why.

I work in a factory and sometimes it’s very loud and these guys offer great hearing protection.

On top of that I can connect my Bluetooth and listen to podcasts or music or hear a movie I’m watching (if I’m on break of course)

these things are INCONSPICUOUS. No one knows what these are unless they have a pair themselves. Some people I work with will use some over the head the ear protection, and maybe drop some wireless buds in, but that’s uncomfortable and plus when you take your hearing protection off, BUSTED.

I also take these home and will cut the grass with them on.

Battery life...geez I mean. I work three or four 12 hour shifts a week and charge these things maybe once a month. I don’t have them constantly on all shift every shift, but I never have to worry about the battery.

Cons: there’s only one that comes to mind and that’s the mic. I’ve talked on the phone with these and it’s nearly impossible. Yes, the person can hear me but it’s so muted that it takes too much effort to listen that it’s just not worth it. Not a big deal to me, if I want to call someone then I can just use my phone normally, but the mic is a part of these so just a heads up.
I bought these to listen to streaming satellite radio from my iPhone via Bluetooth while bush hogging on a very large tractor with no cabin. I was able to hear the music without having to maximize the volume to drown out noise from the tractor. The gel pads make them very comfortable and I was able to slip them over a baseball cap. I probably got 16-18 hours of use before having to recharge. I don’t believe the rechargeable battery is replaceable but don’t know for sure. I highly recommend! Delivered when promised.
I got these 3M Gel Cushion WorkTunes to wear to work in a noisy factory. Technically we are not supposed to have headphones in or be on our phones or talking on our phones while working but everybody does. And as long as your not blasting music so you are unaware of your surroundings I don’t see a problem with it. But talking on the phone is extremely frustrating with these. I have to shout really loud when I’m speaking and repeat myself like 6 times in order for them to hear me. (So everybody in the factory can hear me screaming.) They have to try and hear me over the loud factory noises plus the microphone is a small dot in the outside center of the ear piece. Not towards the front closer to my mouth. Probably in case you wear them facing the other way. But it makes it almost impossible to have a conversation. Plus when your on a call the sound is no longer being blocked out.. it’s being pumped in. So now both you and the other person has to deal with all the noise. And when I try to view my Ring doorbell it thinks I’m on a call. So it pumps in all the noise again and I can’t hear the sounds from the video. And it repeatedly keeps saying call terminated over and over and over again when I’m the Ring app. It’s annoying.
And when I try to FaceTime.. quite frequently it won’t play the sound through the headset I have to keep calling back like 5 or 6 times till there is finally sound. Sometimes if I call regular then choose the audio source then add FaceTime to the call it will work.. but not always. The FaceTime call doesn’t ask me where the sound should be going to like a regular call does. So it just plays through the phones speakers. But if you try over and over again sooner or later it will decide to play through the Bluetooth headset. But they are comfortable and I like having my phones audio in my ears while at work. But there are definitely a lot of things that need some work. It would be nice if there was an app to adjust settings so there wouldn’t be so many glitches. And a better microphone idea implemented. Without adding the outside noise.
I had the original. I loved the original. I broke the original. Ran them over.
Was happy to see the upgraded version available. The one complaint I had about the originals was the size of the cavity, which irritated my ears after a few hours by making light, constant contact with them. These new ones don’t do that. The comfort level is definitely way better, and in my opinion, worth the extra money.
I was certainly hoping that the electronics would have received a bit of an upgrade included with the extra cost but that, sadly is not the case. I can’t hear any difference in the quality of sound, or the volume. I would have appreciated a little boost to volume and the bass levels.
Small irritation with the new ones. The ‘long press’ to turn them on and off has gone from maybe 3 seconds to more like 5 or 6 seconds. How’s THAT for a first world problem?
Still the best workplace incognito hearing protection/headphone option I’ve found.

【G:2 Mil-Spc】C2 Tactical Headset (ZH041-FG)+ U94(ZP113-KEN)Type PTT Push-to-Talk
【What are G1 and G2? 】G1 and G2 are the same physical interface, but the pin definitions are different, so there are two interface protocols, and the two cannot be mixed. Element series products have always used G1 interface; most of the products on the market are G2 interface, which means that this one can be used with earphones/PTT of other brands on the market!

Great ear protection, sound quality from Bluetooth is good, nothing great, but good to listen to music while working. Only 2 problems I have with it is one of the ear cushions had fallen off before I opened the box, and the micro usb charging port and AUX jack doesn't have any cover. They are just open to dirt and dust and water. Would really appreciate if a rubber seal was added. For now I'll just cover it with tape.
Gel cushioning is much more comfortable than the foam one, I am wearing those headphones all day, everyday as I work in very noisy environment. So I have them on 45 hours a week.

These headphones doesn't have much of a bass sound, which is GOOD, because you need to be aware of you surrounding and yet they have enough bass for symphonic metal music sound still alright. I use them mostly for audio books and the voice sounds very good. This is my second headphones from 3m and thanks to my recommendation several of my colleagues are wearing them too. I highly recommend them to anyone working in noisy workspace and still wants to listen to something.
Perfect for podcasts while mowing the fields They are super comfortable and the noise cancelling is great (would not recommend when you need to hear things around you like traffic). Only thing I would change is the earmuff material. While super comfy they do get really warm and sweaty. Trade off to easy to clean.
They're good earmuffs/headphones but after 7 months I've already had mine replaced under warranty.
They're also supposed to be 90544 but I didn't know and received 90543, so when I had them replaced under warranty I didn't get the same ear muffs.

I highly recommend putting silicone or glue where the wire exits the top of the ear muff - you will see other people had the same problem with the wires pulling out
